Why Kynx and Lee’s haircare is the #1 shampoo for African hair
By now, you’ve probably seen KynX and Lee in your neighborhood.
But now, they’re also on the verge of becoming the most popular haircare brand in the world, according to research firm NPD Group.
The two have been in business for more than 30 years, and their popularity has surged thanks to the rise of new trends in the beauty industry.
“The Kynxs and Lee haircare brands are a true example of the ‘win-win’ phenomenon,” said NPD analyst Andrew R. Lippman.
“The more we learn about these brands and how they operate, the more we think we know about the industry.”
NPD Group polled 2,500 people on their haircare habits to come up with their top five picks.
Kynxes, the Korean brand behind the Kynex shampoo, topped the list with 39 percent of the vote.
Lee’s topped the chart with 24 percent, followed by Kynya with 15 percent, and Kynxx with 10 percent.
With more people in their 20s and 30s choosing Kynxa products as their top choice, Kynys sales have been booming.
In 2016, Kysa had a market share of 6.5 percent, up from 5.7 percent in 2016, according the company.
Kysas shampoo, which is also used for hair care products, is also the most widely sold shampoo in the United States.
Kynx shampoo is the most common shampoo used in the US.
When asked how much they use Kynxt, more than half of the participants said that they use about 50 percent of their hair product.
